Area 4 Pride Day...unfortunately not that kinda pride

Today was long, very fucking long. Blah. There was a sort of neighborhood party going on for Area 4 Pride Day in Cambridge. All the organizations in the community had a table setup and there was a dj and free food and face painting and all kinds of good stuff. I worked our table all day collecting donation for the hurricane victims to go to Salvation Army and Red Cross, as well as manned the box of playtex tampon samples (why I don't know) and program sign-up forms. Saw a few of my kids and a bunch of the kidlings donated their own money. We pulled in about $100 or so, I didn't really get much of a count. I'm supposed to go on CCTV next Thursday to talk about what we're trying to do for the people of NOLA. Thankfully they fed us and I got to watch a cambridge cop get down to "Billie Jean". It was however, a very long day, full of sitting and not much else. Came up with lots of tampons, about 40 condoms (the table next to us was giving them out and decided I needed mass quantities, go figure), and a t-shirt.

I am now home and tired. I finished making my room respectable, filled the dishwasher, made my bed and made myself a nice glass of ice water. I'm not planning on moving from this spot unless I find something exciting to do.
